Avala Tower - Architecture by Uglješa Bogunović and Slobodan Janjić

Avala Tower rising above Belgrade is Yugoslav modernism at its most iconic. The hexagonal concrete form, the way it pierces the sky, the engineering confidence of mid-century infrastructure... it was destroyed in 1999 and rebuilt in 2010. Some structures are too important to lose. A symbol of resilience and ambition.
